Elk Grove Girls Softball League is seeking passionate, knowledgeable, and dedicated leaders to guide our Spring 2027 SELECT Teams.

We are accepting Head Coach applications for:

🥎 12U Select
🥎 14U Select

ALL HEAD COACH POSITIONS ARE COMPETITIVE. Current coaches must re-apply!

EGGSL may roster up to two Select teams per division. Our Select Program is designed for athletes seeking a higher level of competition while focusing on refining player skills, teamwork, sportsmanship, and preparing players for success both on and off the field.

We are looking for coaches who:
✅ Demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills
✅ Foster a competitive but positive team culture
✅ Represent EGGSL with integrity and professionalism
✅ Dedicated to optimizing elite athletic ex*****on and building championship-level players.

🥎 EGGSL SNACK BAR VOLUNTEERS NEEDED THIS WEEKEND! 🥎

This weekend, CSD × EGGSL are hosting the Dan Pearson College Showcase, bringing athletes, families, coaches, and college recruiters from across the United States to our complex.

We still have several Snack Bar volunteer shifts available and need your help to keep operations running smoothly throughout the event.

Many people see the snack bar as just concessions, but it is one of the league's most important fundraising programs. The success of our snack bar directly impacts what we are able to provide for our players and families. Revenue generated through snack bar operations helps:

✅ Offset league operating expenses
✅ Purchase uniforms and equipment
✅ Fund player clinics and development opportunities
✅ Support tournaments and special programs
✅ Keep registration fees as affordable as possible

Every shift filled helps strengthen the financial health of our league and directly benefits the athletes we serve.

Whether you still need to complete your Summer 2026 (All Stars) volunteer requirement or want to get ahead on your Fall 2026 volunteer hours, this is a great opportunity to support EGGSL while giving back to our softball community.

In Loving Memory of Maren Bristow: Our Master Scorekeeper, Our Anchor, Our Angel

​The Elk Grove Girls Softball League family is completely heartbroken by the passing of 14-year-old Maren Bristow. Maren wasn’t just a part of our league; she was the very heart of it.

​Diagnosed with cancer at just two and a half years old, Maren fought fiercely and beat it a decade ago. Though that early battle left her paralyzed, it never once dampened her spirit, her s***k, or her love for the game. Maren showed us all what true resilience looks like. She chose to live her absolute best life out on the dirt, packed with a lifetime of adventure, joy, and an unmistakable fierce energy.

​If there was a game happening, Maren was there. She wholeheartedly stepped into every role our league needed, serving as our Master Scorekeeper, our "backstop umpire", helper in all situations, and our absolute best swag saleswoman. With her scorebook in hand, she captured the heart of our community perfectly. She was our anchor on the field and our reminder of why we play.
​We ask our entire EGGSL community to wrap their arms around her parents, Marc and Samantha, and her sister, Sloane, during this unimaginably difficult time.

​Maren, you taught us all how to truly live, and you will forever be a part of EGGSL. Your spot on the field will always belong to you.

​Gone far too soon. Fly high, sweet mermaid. 🥎✨🧜‍♀️💔

Our Tiny Fall Ball Program is designed for players ages 4–7 who want to build skills, gain game experience, and have fun in a positive, local environment. Whether your athlete is new to softball or looking for extra reps before Spring season, this program is all about learning, growing, and developing confidence on the field.
