YOOOOOOOO! Took longer than intended but we’re back to discuss the final game from subbing on 5/5.

In Game 3 from Series 046, I had the least amount of pin leaves than the rest of the games (only 4 frames non-strikes). I got to bring out the bionic for this game and really liked the look I was getting from it. Super excited to be using this ball this year.

That said, the problem I seem to have with the Bionic is with missing left of my mark. If I don’t get the bionic out where it needs to go, it is always going to go wide left of the head pin. But if I get it to the right spot…..well the results speak for itself!

Once again in this game, I’ve been failing to convert multi-pin spares on the right side (in this case a 3-6-9 and 3-6-10). So ironic that when my single pin spares on the right side become more consistent, I start missing the easier ones 🙃 got to lock in for those while still sparing the single pins!

Looking at Game 2 from Bowling Series 045, you can see that I had higher pin counts than from Game 1. Even though I only went 2 pins more, I felt a lot better with my shots this game.

Still had some shots drifting left, mostly from missing my mark to the left about 2 boards. Had two 10 pins that I converted which is great. I’ve been over 95% with my 10 pins since the last match in winter. Something I’ve been struggling with for some reason is the 3-10 or 3-6-10. I used to hit those so easily but I’ve been going left of the 3 pin every time now. Got to get some practice back in for aiming to hit those correctly.

What’s up yall! Decided I was gonna start posting little recaps after each game just to explain my thoughts on it. So here it goes!

From the scorecard, you can see I had 6 frames of pin leaves, with 5/6 being spared. Realistically, I should have been 6/6 since the one I missed was a makeable, but if you go and watch Series 044 you’ll see my target is way off from where it should be for that. Just totally pulled it to the left and missed all 3 pins.

Breaking it down further, you can see that the majority of the pin leaves were right side of the rack (3/6/9/10). Without any video context, you can already assume that means those shots were probably left of the head pin…..and you’d be mostly right. It was a couple high pockets, but mostly Brooklyn area shots.

Majority of this game I was trying to find the right line. I started off going wide left, so I started with moving my feet left. Got the shot to the right side now, but going high. Moved feet a little more left. Started to go soft in the pocket, so I moved feet back right just a little and moved my target right a little as well. That’s when I started to find the pocket.

Posted a story about this already, but wanted to commemorate this achievement with a post too! After 31 weeks of grinding, we were fortunate enough to be competing in the championship match……and we got that W 😎

After coming back from a 5 year hiatus, I did a summer league to get back in the groove. We took 2nd overall after losing the championship match. This Winter/Spring season was our redemption! So happy to experience this with my dad, my brother .10pin and our friend 👌🏽

Going to just sub around during this summer and get ready for the next winter szn 😤
