Earlier this month, our very own Athletic Outreach Coordinator and Head Girls Lacrosse Coach; Shay Ahearn, had the privilege of traveling to Japan to help coach the Japanese National Team in their preparation for the World Games this July! Coach Ahearn also had the opportunity to coach the country's next generation of lax players through clinics run by the SELL program!

"The chance to help coach a national level program in hopes of them competing for a medal this World Games was an opportunity of a lifetime," explains Coach Ahearn. "I am so proud to be a part of a school, program, and GCS community that supports me in pursuing my passion of spreading the game across the world. Thank you to the Japanese National Team for choosing and trusting me to prepare them for the World Games!"

As we get set to celebrate our seniors at today's commencement, GCS Athletics would like to thank all the student athletes, coaches, and fans for their support and memories this season! We hope everyone enjoys their Summer Break!

Join us in welcoming Janelle Fleet as our new Head Varsity Girls Basketball Coach. As a lifelong member of the IAAM community, Coach Fleet brings extensive playing and coaching experience, along with a strong commitment to student-athlete development and competitive excellence. Coach fleet says, “As someone who grew up in the IAAM, this opportunity to lead GCS is especially meaningful to me. I’m grateful for the opportunity to give back to the game and lead a competitive program that values hard work, player development, and excellence.”

We are thrilled to have Coach Fleet join the Dragon community and lead our girls basketball program into its next chapter!
