Following the Leader

Following the Leader Over the years I have had the privilege to follow and lead. Following as well as leading is a constant. There is something in you the world needs.

Helping women of color develop leadership presence so that their managers see them as confident and competent equals, leading to the promotions and pay raises they deserve. Whether it was playing on sports teams, serving as a United States Marine, volunteering in non-profit organizations, or working as a government/military simulations consultant and trainer in the Cyber, IT, or Military Industry. I have followed great leaders and led even greater followers. Amidst it all, there is one thing I have learned while serving in both capacities: "everyone possesses the ability to lead"

It is my belief that everyone in the world is created by God to make an impact and contribution. This occurs through following our passion in life by using our unique set of gifts, attributes and experiences. Causing our purpose to become our discovery, unlocking the hidden potential every human being is pursuing. Follow the Leader in you to bring it out!

They don’t chase ships.

They stand, steady, visible—because their job is to shine. But what happens when the light goes dim?

Some leaders keep showing up, even while flickering. But influence isn’t about endurance. It’s about inner capacity.

You can’t guide others if you’re constantly ignoring your own fuel gauge.

Hope is the catalyst for greatness.......

Most have the wrong definition for wholeness, just like they have the wrong definition for hope.

Hope is not a happy nice to have that those that don't take action possess.

Hope is action!

It's actually the characteristic we must possess if action will be sustained. I challenge you to name someone who keeps going when they don't have hope.

They may keep going when others think there is no hope, yet they keep going because it is hope that pushes them forward.

✨ Burnout isn’t always loud. It can be quiet—subtle whispers that tell us we’ve lost sight of peace.

This sunset reminded me that even when clouds feel heavy, beauty still breaks through. The same is true for people and teams: clarity and calm aren’t lost—they’re just waiting to be rediscovered. 🌅
