WALL DRILLS
The goal of a pitcher is to maintain the same arm circle ⭕️ for every pitch. Keeping a consistent circle prevents injury, keeps the hitter guessing, can increase speed and hitting your targets. Wall drills should be a part of your everyday routine plus your warm up routine before each game.

There are 3 shelves when pitching... shelf 1 are your knees shelf 2 are your hips shelf 3 are your shoulders.

All 3 shelves need to be stacked over one another for your best performance and to prevent injury.

When your top shelf isn’t in line with your bottom shelves you put your shoulder and/or elbow at risk to injury.

Keep all shelves on your “power line”.

Missouri Bombers Fastpitch is excited to announce Coach Kris Caldwell as the new Director of Pitching Performance and Recruiting. Kris is going to help establish and aid in their development while also providing a direct link to college coaches for recruiting purposes. Coach Caldwell is excited to come out of her brief retirement and join one of the premier fastpitch organizations in the country and St. Louis area.

Coach Caldwell will also assist and advise the Missouri Bombers 06 Gold team. Her role with the 06 Gold team will be to help our players in many different aspects of the game. She will focus primarily on their mental approach, pitching mechanics, and skills development at practices.

“If you spend one minute with Kris, you will feel her passion for the sport of softball and for helping others…” said NFCA Executive Director Carol Bruggeman.

Caldwell is well connected in the Fastpitch community and has coached at every level of the game, primarily focusing on pitching for 20 plus years. Honors include: NFCA Regional Coaching Staff of the Year - Runner up NCAA Div III Championship - Missouri State Champion Kristin Nottelmann. Asst Coach at Washington University Stl, Southern Illinois University (Edwardsville), Eastern Kentucky University, and Head Coach at Piedmont College, and All American Dream.

“We are excited to have her join our club,” said Bill Roth, Missouri Bombers Director and Head Coach of the Missouri Bombers Gold 18u team. "She’s an exceptional motivator and teacher. She’s very well connected in the softball community. Kris will be a positive influence to help drive our girls to be the best they can be and will help them continue to grow as student athletes. Having a coach with her pedigree in the Missouri Bombers is another example of how we are surrounding our players with highly regarded staff here in St. Louis. We are excited to have her working with our club so they can learn even more about what it takes to compete at the next level. She will help guide and teach our girls to focus on proper pitching mechanics while emphasizing fundamentals, hitting targets, spin, and off speed. She will be an asset to our club and to the athletes she teaches.”
