CHLOE CHAMBERLIN is excited to be returning to Dance Inc. for the 23-24 season. Chloe has performed in productions at The Muny, including shows like Beauty and the Beast, Newsies, and more. She was honored to perform alongside stars Chita Rivera, Tommy Tune, Matthew Morrison, and others at The Muny’s 100th Anniversary Centennial Performance. She recently attended Point Park University to receive a BFA in Musical Theatre. Her credits at the Pittsburgh Playhouse include Bambi Bernét in Curtains, Picasso in Picasso at the Lapin Agile, Dunn in Men on Boats, and Fox/Ensemble in Cinderella. Chloe also directed, choreographed, and performed in other various shows during her time at Point Park.

MJ Imani is a professional dancer, choreographer and creative director from St. Louis. Her love of dance began at the age of eight when her mother enrolled her in lessons at COCA.

Thanks to instructors such as Lee Nolting and Anthony “Redd” Williams, she was able to cultivate her passion for dance as an art form. After graduating high school, she studied at Webster University, earning her B.A. in Cultural Anthropology and graduating with Department Honors (2016).

Much like her dance inspiration Katherine Dunham, MJ wanted to combine her anthropological studies with her love of dance. In 2017, she was named COCA’s Katherine Dunham Pre-Professional Division Fellow in 2017. The following year, MJ relocated to Atlanta, where she interned at Dance 411, trained in commercial styles and choreographed/performed for various artists.

She returned to St. Louis in Fall of 2020 to open her dance media company: 314 Movement Lab. Since her hometown return, MJ has become Professor of Hip Hop Dance at Washington University & Webster University, choreographed for over 10+ artists, provided multiple professional opportunities for local dancers and has instructed various classes in contemporary, heels, hip hop and jazz-funk styles. Her goal is to make St. Louis a hub for developing young artists.

We are beyond proud to say Michael is a former Dance Inc. instructor!

Michael is originally from Boston, MA where he studied with the Boston Ballet, Bill Fowler, and Jeannette Neil. He later furthered his studies in New York City at Broadway Dance Center and Steps.

He has worked in such shows as Radio City Christmas Spectacular, Copacabana with Barry Manilow, Hello Dolly, European tour of Jesus Christ Superstar, Walt Disney World, Tokyo Disneyland and featured in many production shows in Atlantic City with producers, Roger Maniami and John Stewart and had the pleasure of dancing with many stars such as Aretha Franklin, Rip Taylor, Jim Bailey and Merv Griffin. He was choreographer for NBC’s hit show “ED” and has choreographed for celebrity cruises and music videos.

Michael continues his passion for teaching and choreographing award winning numbers for major studios, and travels around the U.S. and abroad instructing at dance conventions.

Brandon is originally from Pekin, Illinois and earned his BA in dance from Lindenwood University.

He was cast in his first feature film as an actor (by Debbie Allen) from an open dance call in Los Angeles, to which he earned the role of Randy in “Dolly Parton’s Christmas On The Square”. Prior to that he auditioned and was placed into the Original Broadway Cast of Hamilton: An American Musical as a Swing/Samuel Seabury.

He has danced in the films like “The Prom” and “The Only Living Boy in NY”. Prior to his film work, he also appeared in the Developmental and Original Broadway Cast of Head Over Heels as a Swing. Toured nationally and internationally with shows like Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Benjamin) and West Side Story (A-Rab). He has also appeared in shows like: Super Pumped, Hacks, SNL, The Voice, This Is Us, I Ship It,. Backup dancer for artists like Jennifer Hudson, Kool and The Gang, Todrick Hall, Gwen Stefani, Conkarah, Shaggy.

Brandon also owns and operates the LA Based B90 Creative. It specializing in Production, Direction, Creative Direction, Choreography and Editing for Film, TV and Music Videos.

Currently living in Los Angeles, California, Sarah Burney is a dancer, choreographer, and educator. Sarah travels extensively to teach and create award-winning choreography across the country, and many of her students currently work professionally in the industry. She was featured in Dance Teacher Magazine, as a Co-Director for a top studio in the Chicago area. Sarah has worked for several nationwide dance conventions such as Art of Movement Dance Convention, Street of Dreams Dance Convention, and Platinum Dance Collective.

Her credits include, Kat Graham - music videos Glory and Dia De Los Mu***os, as well as her West Hollywood Pride, Long Hot Summer tour. Samantha Mumba - music videos Body II Body and Pink Lemonade as well as her London Pride Tour performance. She co-choreographed for the music artist and songwriter, Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds on his 2019 Tour, and was the head choreographer for singer songwriters, Kayls and Vancil for their music videos, Drive Away and Pull Away. Sarah is part of the creative team for Piloxing, a worldwide fitness program, for their tutorial and promotional videos.

Her lifelong dream was fulfilled in 2021, as the Creative Director and Producer of her very own annual showcase, Reconstruct - Choreographer’s Exhibition. She is a certified yoga instructor, and proudly represented by Go 2 Talent Agency, for her passionate approach to choreography and performance. Sarah is excited to continue educating artists about what truly inspires them, and to embrace the process in which dance is created.

Nikki is originally from St. Louis and received her training at the Boston Conservatory. Her first major role on Broadway came as “Winnie Tate” in the Broadway revival of Annie Get Your Gun opposite Bernadette Peters. She also appeared on Broadway in the revival of Sweet Charity starring Christina Applegate.

Snelson originated the role of exercise queen “Brooke Wyndam” in the world premiere of the musical Legally Blonde. She performed the same role on Broadway.

In 2008, Nikki joined the National tour of A Chorus Line, as “Cassie.”

Television and Film
Nikki has appeared in several television shows, including as a guest on Desperate Housewives and as “Chelsea” on ABC’s All My Children.

Ashley L. Tate is a director, choreographer, educator, and performer from Saint Louis, Missouri. She is an assistant professor of dance at University of North Carolina at Charlotte and founder, artistic director, and executive director of Ashleyliane Dance Company (ADC). Tate received her MFA in Dance from Washington University in St. Louis, where she was a recipient of the Spencer T & Ann W. Olin Fellowship for Women in Graduate Study.

Tate has choreographed for the concert stage, NCAA/NFL basketball and football halftime shows, studio recitals, theatre productions and national and regional dance competitions. She teaches master classes and workshops in contemporary, jazz, hip hop, modern, improvisation, and composition. Her current research interests includes the use of dance as a vehicle for community advocacy and collaboration, as well as the visual, auditory, and kinesthetic benefits of hip-hop music and movement.

Little princesses enjoyed crafts and danced in their ball gowns from the little princess ball gown closet. They were even treated to a visit from a very special princess!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MISS CARSON!
It is safe to say dance has been part of Carson’s entire life and Dance Inc. is proud to have been part of her journey since the very beginning. Carson began dancing in our Tiny Tot program and was a Dance Inc. student for 14 years - 10 of which were on our competition team. Carson has come full circle and has been a valuable instructor and choreographer for 7 years.

Carson is one of our technique specialists! She is the former captain of the Lindenwood Lionettes - TWO TIME Dll Jazz National Champion Dance Team and Dll Hip Hop National Champion Dance Team! Carson is also the current Marquette Mystique JV Dance Team coach.

Carson received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design and Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology in 2019 from Lindenwood University. She is currently employed as a graphic designer at The Crossing.

What better way to celebrate Miss Lauren B’s Birthday than with a Throwback Thursday Post!

If you have been a Dance Inc. dancer in the last TWELVE years, chances are you have had Miss Lauren as a teacher! Fun Facts: Miss Lauren is proud Dance Inc. mom and aunt of an MPA Competition Team dancer. Plus Lauren’s husband, Trent, proposed in one of our Dance Inc. studios!

Lauren was born and raised in St. Louis where she began her dance training at age 5. She is trained in pointe, ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, modern, and hip hop. Lauren graduated from Missouri State University with a degree in Dance and Elementary Education. She was a member of the Missouri State University Dance and Theatre Department and had the pleasure of performing in faculty and student works. Lauren has choreographed numerous productions in which she was awarded 1st place for her routines. Lauren also is a teacher in the Wentzville School District and earned her master’s degree in 2016. 

We are truly blessed that Lauren has shared her passion for dance through Dance Incorporated.

PRINCESS CAMP
JULY 11-13 • 10:30 - 12:00
AGES 3-5
Dress up from the princess ball gown closet, dance, and a visit from a “special” princess.

CAMP HIP HOP
July 11-13 • 10:30 - 12:00
AGES 6-10 & 11-13
Dance the latest hip hop moves and stunts in party light and glow in the dark atmosphere.

TUMBLE & BOUNCE CAMP
July 18-20 • 10:30 - 12:00
AGES 3-5
Bounce, tumble and roll on the mini trampoline and tumble track. Make your way through the enchanted light up obstacle course.

MUSICAL THEATRE CAMP
July 18-20 • 10:30 - 12:00
AGES 6-10 & 11-13
Voice, acting and dance lessons with a show stopping Broadway routine!

CHEER & DANCE TEAM CAMP
July 25-27 • 10:30 - 12:00
AGES 3-5, 6-10 & 11-13
Cheer stunts, lifts, tumbling, poms and dance team techniques.

TINY TOT CLASS
August 9, 16, 23, 30 • 9:30 - 10:15
AGES 3-5
Includes ballet, tap and creative movement.
