To our Juice Collective family, friends, and community:
I want to begin by saying thank you sincerely for standing by us throughout our journey as a small business and as the first juice bar in Chemung County. You supported us 1 year as just a vendor at markets, before we had a brick-and-mortar location, followed us to the mall for 2 years, and continued supporting us when we moved downtown Elmira the last 2 years. A total of 5 years of support, and We are incredibly grateful.
This past year has been especially challenging as we worked to survive downtown. We noticed a HUGE decline in sales as more businesses opened within the same vicinity and surrounding blocks. We want to be clear that we are happy to welcome new neighbors and businesses. We love seeing the community grow, and having new businesses is important to the vitality and viability of downtown.
At the same time, we have found it increasingly difficult to survive in this area with so much to offer. There are now many food options downtown some similar to ours and some completely different. With so many choices available, unfortunately not every business will be able to survive.
Because of this, we will be moving out of our space at 149 West Gray Street. This is not an easy decision, but we want everyone to know that Juice Collective is not closing. We are temporarily relocating our operations and will continue serving you through online ordering, delivery apps, pickup, and delivery options.
We will provide more details as we move forward and finalize our new arrangements.
I have gone back and forth about how much to share regarding what has been happening. I know that people may draw their own conclusions whether we share every detail or not. However, we want to remain transparent as much as we can be, and we feel this gives you enough information to understand what is happening while still respecting the parts of our situation that we are not prepared to discuss publicly.
Thank you once again for your love, support, patience, and understanding. We love you, we miss you, and we appreciate you allowing The Juice Collective to be part of this community. We hope you will continue to support us as we begin this new chapter.
