Picture yourself traveling through pristine forests, across frozen lakes, and over snow-covered portage trails behind a team of dogs running fast and running far. Only the whisper of wind in the pines and the rhythmic patter of paws packing snow break the silence in the winter woods - quite a contrast from the normal hustle and bustle of everyday life! Thanksgiving to Easter!

This has been one of our longest dogsledding seasons of taking customers out on sleds. It was starting to look like we were getting towards the end of winter, but we just got a bunch more snow! Here is what it looks like!

Thank you to everyone that came out and helped us to carry on our mission of enabling sled dogs! The dogs appreciate you the most! Happy Easter!

These sled dogs are just as happy on these positive 40s days as they are in negative 40s.

Their bodies naturally take care of themselves perfectly well in their natural environment!

Trails are holding up fantastic! We have had great dog sledding conditions since before Thanksgiving!

Looks like a nice amount of snow is forecasted to fall in the next few days! Bring on the second half of Winter!

If you mushed with us last winter, you likely met Rainier, or one of his siblings. He was just a little pup last winter, and now he’s a big bad racing dog! He is a part of the Nathan Schroeder Mushing team. He participated in the Mid distance (120mile) John Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon driven by Alyssa.

It was so cool to see that little guy running on a race team. They say he is “wise beyond his years”.
