The Arthur and Audrey Smith Wellness Center/Library Complex, is a partnership between Iowa Lakes Community College, the City of Emmetsburg, and the citizens of Palo Alto County.

Mark your calendars- we are just under a week away from our 3rd annual Whisker Walk!

Grab your furry friend and meet us in the gymnasium of the Wellness Center, where we will begin our 3.1 mile walk!

Your pup can take a dip and cool off in one of the two wading pools on the route. And while you are there, both of you can enjoy a snack that is pup and owner friendly.

Leashing your pet is a must and we ask that you keep a safe distance between your pet and the others.

The cost for the event is $20 per walker with all proceeds going to support People for Pets in Spencer Iowa!

If you are not able to attend the event and would still like to show your support, please stop by the Wellness Center and make a donation via Venmo

We are also in need of:
Laundry soap
Dawn dish soap
Treats for dogs and cats
Kitty litter
Blakets
Toys (even gently used) for both dogs and cats

We can't wait to see you there!

Every step you take helps support the shelter, providing food, medical care, shelter and love to pets waiting for their forever homes.

Walk the 5K route, have fun and make a difference!
September 16th 6-7:30 PM
Smith Wellness Center gynmasium (we will gather here)
Registration will take place the night of the event and is $20 per walker.
