Full Marathon on 8th Continent is done in Africa March 22, 2026 at The Kilimanjaro Premium Lager Marathon! This is planned to be my last FULL 42k/26.2mile marathon distance and was my 13th lifetime full!

My goal to run a marathon on each continent officially started in 2013 when I ran Antarctica….took 13 years to finish the goal, but it is now complete! 🙏🏼🫶🏼✅

This one was special for many reasons, but if you take a look at the photos, some of the great memories will be the young children who ran alongside me for portions of the race. In fact, the one young man who looks to be probably no more than nine in the running shoes ran approximately 8 miles with me. 😲🫶🏼

Awesome to be mentioned in this article and among all these amazing women who are also OVERALL (beat the men’s record) record holders! Happy International Women’s Day 🫶🏼

Although we feel women should be celebrated each day, we thought that we would look back at some of the amazing ladies who’ve outdone their male counterparts in the world of record breaking. 💪

Honored to be the speaker at the Scouts of Americas troop 766 honor court last night to talk about how setting a record at 183.9mph and scouting principles parallel!

Half Marathon #82 is in the books. The nighttime run the Strip at the Rock n Roll Las Vegas. Shared the first 5.5 miles with my son, Daniel, which was doing the 10k, then off to run the rest as it was getting chilly 🥶

Great trip just my son and I. Fun to see friends along the way too ❤️

Happy Marathon Monday! This week’s spotlight is on Denise Mueller Inspired183 Project Speed running the Covered Bridges Half Marathon with Team WISE!

Denise chose to run with Team WISE because our work “closely aligns with the anti-human trafficking work that my Rotary and Soroptimist clubs do. I have been an active member of these organizations since 2001 & 1997 respectively.” Denise has an impressive athletic resume. She shares, “I started running in 2010 when I set a goal to run my first marathon, the Rock ’n’ Roll San Diego Marathon, and then I just kept going. My true superhero claim to fame is actually on a bicycle. I used to race bicycles and have won 18 National Championships, set a few world records … including the craziest one that still holds, which is a Guinness World Book Record as the fastest cyclist in the world at 183.9 mph!” She’s running CBHM to check Vermont off her goal of completing a half marathon in every state. This will mark her 41st state! She’s also about to complete another extraordinary goal: running a marathon on every continent, finishing with the Kilimanjaro Marathon in Africa in March 2026. After the race, Denise is looking forward to a hot shower, a well-earned nap, and a celebratory dinner.

Any San Diego Cyclists or Organ Donor supporters interested in attending the send off of a gentleman by the name of Ken Abbott, a New Yorker who recently celebrated the 10th anniversary of his life-saving heart transplant that gave him a second shot at life. To mark the occasion through his love of cycling, Ken is going to embark on a more than 3,000-mile cross-country bike ride that begins in San Diego at Ocean Beach and ends in St. Augustine, Florida where some members of his heart donor family reside.

Half Marathon #81 is in the books. A trail one in Daley Ranch Escondido with over 2000 feet of climbing! Took is easy & enjoyed the scenery! Little over a month away from the Kilimanjaro Africa marathon!
