The volunteer requirement can be met at any time during the calendar year (2026). The volunteer work must include a task that is assigned by the race director and necessary for the operation of the race. Volunteer Requirements must have been completed in Broome County.

Come Celebrate Thanksgiving with us and run The Pete Keyes Turkey Trot 5 Miler.

November 26, 2026 at 9:30am in Otsiningo Park!

All money raised, after expenses, from The Pete Keyes Turkey Trot, goes to scholarships for graduating seniors pursuing higher education.

So come on down Thanksgiving morning, get a run in and we can celebrate our amazing running community together!

A great night was had by runners, spectators and volunteers alike at the RRCA Distance Festival 5K! A huge thank you to all the women that came out and ran and the many volunteeers supporting us on the course and in the finish line: MIke Thompson and Haley Thompson, Fitz Rudin, Mike Gunther, Dan Fassett, Brian Shofkom, Grant Briggs, Michele Jones, Terri St. John Donovan, James Racketa, Alex Racketa, Jordan Varano, Ken and Joanne Weir, Joey Kranick, Eric Purdy, Kevin Pasterchik, Dave Fellows, Fareed Tiwumtigi, Nick Gillotte, Chuck & Teri Hein. A big thank you to Donna Russell for donating the mid pack award and to Debbie Grassi for the wondeful fruit platter she donated!
Elizabeth Predmore ran a blazing 18:09 to win the race and looking to verify if that was a course record!
So many people jumped in and helped wherever needed and we appreciate each and every one of you! Thank you for another successful race!

Our TCRC Youth Track Day is Back!

July 28th 2026 at the Vestal High School Track
205 Woodlawn Dr, Vestal, NY 13850

This is an all ages event, from birth to graduating seniors

We will have a host of different races to choose from, including a fun relay, with participants broken down by age groups. Your athlete does not need to participate in all the events - you can pick 1, all or something in between. The 800 and mile should be considered competitive runs. The 50, 100, 200 and 400 will not be officially timed but there will be a clock running so athletes can track their performance if they wish.

Events:
50 yard dash (untimed). Heats broken down by age starts at 5.45

Main track meet 6.00 pm start time

100 yard dash- untimed
200 yard dash- untimed
400 yard dash- untimed
800 m dash- timed event
1 mile run- timed event

Just a reminder! 8/5/26 will be our 5000M (5k) on the track!
This will be the ONLY event that night!!

The 2026 TCRC Track Meets will begin on Wednesday, July 8th, and continue weekly on Wednesdays through August 12th.

NOTE THE NEW LOCATION:

The meets will be on the track at Vestal High School, Dick Hoover Stadium 205 Woodlawn Dr, Vestal, NY 13850, unless otherwise announced.

Regular events are; one mile, 800 meters, 400 meters, and two-mile on the track.

We also plan to have a 5000m Track Event on August 5th, which will be the only event ran that night.

All ages and all abilities are welcome.

Registration starts at 5:30, and the events start promptly at 6:00. Participation is free for all TCRC members; all non-members are welcome and will just need to sign a waiver and pay a $5 fee for the season (or join the TCRC).

Meet Dates are: 7/8, 7/15, 7/22, 7/29, 8/5, 8/12

Due to the heavy downpours we need to cancel this evening's, July 29th, Track Meet. Although we can run in the rain (with no lightning), our electronic equipment would not survive or be able to time the event.

We will see everyone next week.
