Our September theme is GROWTH.

And we decided to take this one pretty literally.

This weekend, we begin expanding our yoga room!

Growth has been showing up in so many ways at Sukha lately. Our community is growing, classes are getting fuller, and we’ve realized it’s time for the space to grow right along with us.

This isn’t just about fitting more mats into a class. Your comfort and experience here are a huge priority for us. We want Sukha to feel like your home away from home. A place where you can walk through the doors, exhale, spread out and feel like there is room for you here.

So, we’re making some.

Construction will happen in stages over the next few weeks, and we’ll work around our regular schedule as much as possible. Classes will continue as scheduled unless you hear otherwise from us.

We are currently planning to close September 30 through October 2 to complete the parts of the project that can’t reasonably happen around classes.

Of course, construction is one part planning and another part hoping everything goes according to plan, so please be patient with us. We’ll keep you posted if anything shifts along the way.

This week has brought up deep reflection. Losing Dolly was a gut punch. But inside the grief & sadness, there seems to be a deep remembering. We are witnessing how truly powerful it is to lead with LOVE.

The collective is taking a hard look at what it means to have lived a good human life. And when you boil it down, the reflections are simple, yet they require constant practice and presence.

Be kind. Be compassionate. Take care of others. Honor your roots. Love deeply. Work hard. Refrain from judgement. Don’t take more than you need. Forgive. Accept differences. Be strong. Be authentic.

Often we can struggle with what yoga “is” or how to do it “right”. I won’t claim to know if Dolly ever stepped foot on a yoga mat, but what I do know is she embodied everything a yoga practice is about.

Thank you Dolly for your reminders and sharing your practice of love. 🤍
