Most Athletes & Coaches treat athleticism and fitness like they’re the same thing.

They’re not.

Athleticism vs fitness comes down to how your body produces energy.

Fitness is your ability to sustain effort over time. It’s largely driven by your aerobic system, which allows you to produce energy efficiently for long durations and recover between efforts.

Athleticism is your ability to produce high levels of force and skill quickly. It’s driven by your nervous system and anaerobic energy systems, which control speed, power, and explosiveness.

These systems adapt differently.

Training for endurance improves efficiency and repeatability.

Training for athleticism improves force production and rate of output.

That’s why you see:
🏃🏻‍♂️Endurance athletes who can go forever but lack explosiveness

⚡️Power athletes who are incredibly fast and strong but fatigue quickly

Neither is “better” they’re just different.

The key is alignment. Train for the outcome you actually want.

Most people think aging is about wrinkles or gray hair.

It’s not.

Real aging starts when you lose strength.

When simple things feel harder.

When your body stops keeping up with your life.

And the crazy part is this starts earlier than most people think.

You don’t suddenly “get old” one day.

You slowly stop using your body the way it was meant to be used.

That’s where strength training comes in.

It helps you keep your muscle, your energy, and your ability to move well for years to come.

It supports your metabolism, your joints, and even your confidence.

This isn’t just about looking better.

It’s about staying capable.

You don’t need perfect workouts or a complicated plan.

You just need to start and stay consistent.

Your future self will either thank you or struggle because of what you do today.
