Another part done. Will eventually anodize it next time I’m doing a few parts. I want to work with it a little and make sure the size of everything is what I wanted.
Getting back on building the controller this weekend and ordering the servos. With any luck I should be able to jog the machine around under its own power in a couple weeks.

Little more progress. Just need to make the mounting holes and it’s ready to try out.

Started on the 4th axis collet adapter tonight. Nothing exciting, just removing a lot of material. Still have a ways to go.

With the exception of materials for a tailstock I think this will be the raw materials needed to complete the inlay machine parts.
Aluminum for the parts table, headstock/tailstock risers, ER32 collet holder for the harmonic drive.

Finishing up the Z axis plate tonight. Got the parts assembled on the machine so I can start mocking up the 4th axis and parts table.

A little closer

Main machining is done. Working on the Z plate mounting holes next.
Will finish the deburing tomorrow evening and final cleanup.

Little more progress on the spindle and camera mount. Working on finish boring and then slitting the clamp slots and final profiling.

Little closer. Working on a camera mount now. Once it’s done I’ll complete the machining on this and the mount.
