Welcome to Rocky Mountain Budokan, a traditional Japanese martial arts center! We offer classes in Shotokan Karate, Kendo, and Iaido.
Rocky Mountain Budokan, formerly known as Mountain States Karate Association, was founded in 1965 by Hideki Iwakabe (Shotokan Karate - 8th Dan, Kendo - 5th Dan, Iaido - 6th Dan). It is the first and oldest Karate school in the city of Englewood (currently physically located within the city of Sheridan, just three miles from its original location) and the first Kendo (Japanese fencing) and Iaido (Japanese art of sword drawing) school in Colorado.

We had visiting kendo instructor from Korea 7-Dan, Chang sensei, each and everyone got keiko (practice) with him, it was very learning training, Thank you 🙏 sensei. Front row from left 4th person.
