The food motto I live by: Eat to live, don't live to eat!
We’ve been nailing the fitness goals. We’ve been showing up, working hard, and getting stronger.
Let's bring more attention to our day-to-day nutrition.
Is the way we’re eating working alongside our fitness goals, or are we sabotaging our fitness goals?
We can come to class and lift all the weights we want, but if our everyday eating isn’t supporting what we’re working so hard for, we’re making the road harder than it needs to be.
It’s sad to me that eating real, natural food is considered a “diet” nowadays, while highly processed food is considered normal.
It's time to think about what our bodies actually need nutritionally and find a way of eating that works with our goals.
For me, that looks a lot different than a lot of people. I come from a history of food addiction, so I have to be very careful with my cravings. I choose to follow about a 90% carnivore lifestyle. I’ve been able to add a few things back in, although there are still some things my body reacts to.
This way of eating has been an elimination process for me, and it has been the best thing for my body.
But I am a TRUE believer that everyone has to find what works for them.
Maybe that’s a calorie deficit.
Maybe it’s keto.
Maybe it’s carnivore.
Maybe it’s simply cutting out soda, reducing sugar, or making better choices with processed foods.
For me, cutting out caffeine was a big one. I actually have more energy now without caffeine than I ever did when I was drinking it.
There isn’t one perfect way of eating for everyone.
The goal is to find a lifestyle that works for YOU nutritionally and works alongside the fitness goals you’re working so hard to achieve.
Let’s make the two work together, not against each other. ❤️
