The 2025-2026 S3DA season concluded on Saturday with the outdoor state championship at Pine Forest Archery Club, marking a triumphant end to an incredible journey. Despite starting with a smaller team of 7 talented shooters in the indoor and 3D seasons, Wiregrass Archers-S3DA fearlessly pushed forward, finishing strong with 4 exceptional athletes in the outdoor season. These remarkable kids embodied the true spirit of dedication and hard work, showcasing what unwavering commitment can achieve. I'm humbled to coach such a special group and grateful for the opportunity to witness their growth, and today, I'm bursting with pride for each and every one of them. On Saturday, our 4 shooters shone brightly, securing 2 first-place and 2 second-place wins in the outdoor state championship, while also claiming the prestigious Team Challenge Trophy for accumulating the most points across all three divisions. We set ambitious goals, and through perseverance and determination, we achieved them. Weston soared to first place in Eagle Male Pins, while Hugo impressively took second place and earned the Shooter of the Year title for Eagle Pins, both competing in their first year. Owen demonstrated remarkable skill, taking second place in Youth Male Open, and Ryleigh excelled, securing first place and the Shooter of the Year award in Young Adult Female Open, along with additional scholarships. Congratulations to my extraordinary team – what an outstanding job! I'm deeply grateful to our phenomenal parents for their tireless support and for nurturing such remarkable young athletes. Special thanks to David Owens and Wiregrass Outdoors for their invaluable support; we're truly indebted to you. Also I would like to thank Anthony Kizziah for all he has done for S3DA as state coordinator the best we’ve had.I hate to see you leave that position brother. You will be missed.
