MojuKai members: I'll be reaching out to several of you in regards to participating in the Gulf Shores event.
We have several beginner-level students who have the potential to be fantastic at competition.
Thank you to everyone who came out yesterday (and Friday evening) and either participated in, judged, kept scores, or otherwise helped us make the Sylacauga tournament a success.
We had plenty of adult black belts to be judges, so every ring was in use. Because of this we were able to run a full tournament and be out of the building before 2:00.
We announced yesterday that we (the wife and I) will take sole ownership of the tournament series in 2027. This season will finish with the same rules and processes in place so there's no interference with the accumulation of points. ~ I do firmly believe that in order to have a legitimate championship the rules have to be consistent. I also believe that competitors should have to compete against each other in order to earn a championship.
We will be looking for input about potential changes for next year. One of the things we're considering is adding divisions. Some options are: breaking, self-defense, CMX or musical, continuous sparring, and semi-knockdown.
We can't add all of them or else it would take all day to run an event. But, if there's enough interest, we can add the most popular one or two.
So, if you'd like to see a particular divison added, let us know on this page.
The next, and final tournament of the inaugural season, will be in Gulf Shores at the Middle School on October 3rd.
We hope to see you there.

Osu!
THIS SATURDAY: Tournament #4 (Central Division) is in Sylacauga at the J Craig Smith Community Center.
Same rules, same divisions, same setup. Consistency is what validates a Championship.
We're looking forward to seeing all of the friends we've already made AND to meeting new competitors who have said they're coming.
Let me take a moment and give a big thank you to Mr. Matt Roeder. Sometimes its the small things that make the biggest difference and Mr. Roeder sent me the perfect message at the perfect time. He knows what I'm talking about, so I'll leave that between us.
Attached is the flyer for the Gulf Shores event, coming up in October.
Big news coming up when we see you in Sylacauga.
Best of luck to everyone.
NOTE FOR CLARITY: A couple of things slipped by me when I reviewed this flyer: all divisions are individual. We don't have team events - yet. Maybe next year depending on interest.

734 days since we assumed operations of the Troy Mojukai dojo and this was the first time I had all four of these beauties in class together.
These ladies are something to be proud of.
Yoku Naru!

We have several pair at the dojo for anyone who's interested.
These will be the nunchaku we sell going forward. The quality is just too good to ignore.
Even if you already have a set, consider upgrading to a custom set.
Yoku Naru!
For anyone who might be interested:
We have access to hand-crafted, high quality, unique wood nunchaku.
These are MUCH better regarding both balance and appearance than anything you can purchase anywhere else.
Three woods to choose from: Hickory, Cherry, and the very popular Purple-Heart. Three different diameters as well and in two lengths.
Almost any color paracord that you want.
Kids are $40 a pair (similar to what you retail from Century or AWMA), Adults are $50, and all sizes of purple-heart are $75.
For clarity; purple-heart is considered an exotic wood and is more expensive to obtain. It is incredibly dense, heavy and hard. I doubt you could break them if you tried.
If you're interested, see myself or Mrs. Jacole (my wife) at the tournament. We'll have a few sets for display....maybe a few that can be bought, but we've found that they go quickly.
See you in Sylacauga!

I hope to see a big turnout from the Kai.
Good afternoon AMAC members and supporters!
It has been far too long since we've posted, but we're moving again.
Our Central Division tournament will be in less than three weeks! The beautiful city of Sylacauga will host this event, at the J. Craig Smith Community Center.
The venue is easy to find and access. It is right on 231, almost directly in front of the football stadium.
We've had several local martial arts schools express interest in attending, adding them to our current followers, we're hoping for a good turnout.
My apologies for my absence regarding updates and posts these last few weeks. As many of you know, I have recently had a surgery that did not go well. The recovery has taken most of my energy and attention.
We have some exciting news that we'll share at the tournament first, then online, so keep your ears out for that.
As always, thank you for your support.
