For any of my followers, there is a guy selling / trading cues on FB that lives in Missouri by the name of William J Stiles. He has a good reputation but rest assured, his latest actions do not reflect that. I traded him for an older Joss west that would have fit into my collection nicely. Once I realized it was warped, I contacted him. He said he would swap back but always had excuses as to why he never got my stuff boxed up to ship back. Here it is at least a week and a half - two weeks later and he has publicly announced he will not be sending my stuff back. His last response was to send him the cue for him to determine if it was in fact warped or not, BEFORE he sent my my stuff back. He really expected me to send him this cue while he still had MY stuff, so he had everything. Uh, no no....Watch the video and determine for yourself whether or not it is warped

1st time in a long time I am back in my shop turning shafts. I prefer my taper to many others, and just watching my shafts turn is oddly exciting for me :-)
Refinished my 1st inlaid cue. Much better this time!
Maple shafts far from done, but in the works
Turning a curly, roasted kielwood shaft. Look at those curls! And roasted kielwood has my shop smelling amazing
Turning a lightly figured birdseye maple shaft
So I have been thinking tonight about cue construction, and had a thought of how to change it up a little. It may very well become a disaster because it is alot more work involved, but I gotta try it at least once. How many of you other builders have tried new construction techniques? Leave a message if you have
Back at turning maple shafts tonight
A little turning maple shaft action
So tonight, I learned a valuable part about building cues... Leather wraps. I will be replacing what wraps are on my own cues soon and share my results. Then they will be an option on my cues. Maybe if you ask me nicely, I can do one on your cue lol but I will need a little time to practice. Stay tuned
