Its been almost 4 months since Ryders passing. Still miss him everyday π I'd like to get a tattoo in his memory. Something incorporating deer tracks and paw prints. Other possibilities could include antlers or arrows. I'm thinking it would go on my wrist so can't be too big. I have added some examples in the comments. Let me know what you think or if anyone has an idea for a design I'd love your input.

Unfortunately we had to make the hard decision to put Ryder down this morning. I never imagined when I started this tracking service this first season would also be our last. Ryder loved tracking deer and so did I. We had so many amazing experiences that i will never forget and met so many wonderful people along the way! I want to thank you all for your prayers and support. I have attached photos of Ryder doing what he loved.

I'm sorry to report that Ryder has taken a turn for the worseπ despite all our efforts to save him he continues to decline and has no chance of recovery. If he makes it through the night we will make the trip to the vet in the morning to have him put down. I'm still in shock and disbelief that this is happening. He was a perfectly healthy 3yr old dog. I knew about ticks and lymes disease but I had no idea it could be so severe or deadly. I always had Seresto collars on my dogs and thought if one got past me when I was checking them that the collar would protect them, I guess I was wrong. ( I have been told the collar only works if it's tight on the neck allowing one finger space. Ryder had lost weight during the tracking season and the collar became loose)I wish I had known more about the dangers of lymes as well as researched more about the preventative measures available such as the vaccine and chewable/ ingestable tablets. Please take all the precautions you can to protect your dog so you do not have to go through what we have in the last week.ππ

Good News on Ryder!! His blood pressure has come down significantly but is still above normal. He is eating everything they give him and tolerating all of the medications well, so they are sending him home tonight π Some of his lab results have already shown improvement and it's only been 24 hours!!! Keep the prayers coming that his bloodwork and kidney levels continue to improve π
