This is just one example of a recipe I share monthly with my clients. Save this reel to come back to the recipe! I’m not the original creator but can find them to tag 😘 INGREDIENTS * 2 tsp. olive oil, divided use* 1 lb. raw ground 93% lean turkey or ground beef* 1 medium onion, chopped* 1 medium red bell pepper, chopped* 2 cloves garlic, chopped or minced* 2 cups all-natural tomato sauce, no salt or sugar added* 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce (I used coconut aminos to avoid soy)* 1½ tsp. hot pepper sauce* 1 Tbsp. pure maple syrup* ½ tsp. sea salt (or Himalayan salt)* ¼ tsp. ground black pepper* sprouted whole- grain bread or Dave’s Killer Bagels (my fave)* Finely chopped fresh parsley (optional)* I also added red pepper flakes for a little kickDIRECTIONS* Heat 1 tsp. oil in large skillet over medium heat.* Add meat; cook, stirring frequently to break up the meat, for 8 to 10 minutes, or until no longer pink.* Heat remaining 1 tsp. oil in second large skillet over medium heat.* Add onion and bell pepper; cook, stirring frequently, for 4 to 5 minutes, or until onion is translucent.* Add garlic; cook, stirring frequently, for 1 minute.* Add onion mixture, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce/coconut aminos, hot pepper sauce, and maple syrup. Season with salt and pepper.* Add meat to tomato mixture. Mix well.* Reduce heat to medium-low; gently boil, stirring occasionally, for 15 to 20 minutes, or until sauce has thickened.* Place a slice of bread/bagelon each serving plate.* Top evenly, approximately 1 cup* Sprinkle each serving evenly with parsley before serving, if desired.

No one tells us that when we start focusing on ourselves the way we feel, what our body needs, and the routines we establish actually look more like 🎢🎡🌀🙃 than a straight line.

We hear it all the time “calories in vs calories out” “eat less, move more.” Blah blah.

It’s terrible advice in my opinion. Because what do you do when you’re doing that and your body doesn’t respond? 🤷🏻‍♀️

The calories we restrict won’t teach us to set boundaries with people who don’t deserve our time. The more we sweat doesnt magically offer us a level of self acceptance. The calories we consume don’t give us permission to forgive ourselves for past mistakes. The fitness routine we have won’t necessarily release past trauma, current stress, or turmoil in our thoughts.

It might… temporarily, but none of it matters if we’re trying to continuously plow through the tasks rather than listening to what our body is telling us.

I haven’t mastered what I need just yet, and I’m learning I probably never will bc it changes everyday. I have great routines with my health, but I’m learning to become less rigid each day and focus more on what’s gonna serve me TODAY… in this moment. SHOCKING— I’m not actually a machine 🤫😂

Turns out I’m an almost 40 year old woman 🙈 who’s leaning into who I’m becoming rather than running from it and fighting it with restrictive diets and intense exercise.

While I may not be the “fittest” I’ve ever been. I’m not the most miserable I’ve ever been either. Actually, I’d say maybe the most mentally fit I’ve ever been…. And I’d take that over a specific Jean size any day.

Anybody else feel like this time year brings on a sprial of things?!? It’s like I feel the urge to clean and purge everything, but also want take time to relax, but also want to get my workouts in, but also I need to shop and hate everything in my closet, but also I’m saving money, and also it’s time for vacation.. and also… I need a tan 🤣 and also.. and also…

🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠 maybe I’m just psycho lol but my spiral of thoughts has helped tap into some creativity and support/accountability. Figured if I feel this way, other people probably do to!

Dinner last night was yummy!!! So yummy that I'm having it again tonight. (Pre made on Sunday minus the grilled chicken I added. I cook that fresh).

I didn't make the sauce, I buy an organic one with minimal sugar because 😂.
