Happy St Patrick's Day

#telegraphing 🚨 Taking your skills to the next level is all in the details! Detail is what separates the professionals from everyone else. Every small movement matters when it comes to striking faster. Less movement in between point a to b, the faster your technique will be. Here I demonstrate telegraphing before striking. Telegraphing can be done in several ways. Here are the 2 most common ways to telegraph a roundhouse kick in Taekwondo. It doesn’t matter how fast you may be, telegraphing will always slow you down. Tip: these telegraphing movements can be done as “checks” or “faints” to get your opponents off their rhythm. As long as these faints are done at the proper timing and with purpose they can be affective. Question: What if my distance is off and I have to take a step before kicking? I recommend sliding in as opposed to stepping in. A good fighter knows that if you step in that almost always means the back leg strike is coming.
