Thursday fished our way down to Oak Orchard with my annual pre Big Boys Mcshane charter. Fishing was good Thursday. Friday we fished inside near port looking for stagers and then trolled out deeper to polish off our 5 man box. Fishing out of the Oak was very good but we didn’t get into a lot of big fish. We put together two great days!! Hmmmm tomorrow is day 1 of the annual Big Boys and the King of The Oak event. We are participating in both.

Great morning again on Lake O targeting stagers! Landed 10 good salmon, few smalls, 2 browns and a steelhead. Add in a few misses all just before 10am. A Tom Mik flies rocked the fish last 2 days with Spin Docs and paddles. Also tool a couple on DW cut plugs on an inside DW mag diver. Put one on the board for Captain Wes. 25 # even!!! That fish ate #41 green glow A Tom Mik fly-my all time fav. Fish still have alewives in them!
Lake O finishing strong for V. Q.

Lake O report for Sunday morning- with small craft warnings and 15-25 MPH winds forecasted, it was an easy decision to target inshore browns. That decision paid off with a nice box of 12 browns including a LOC derby 12 # fish. We had a nice steady pick on browns all morning landing 12 plus few small salmon for 20 ish bites. Made it back in before the Lake turned white but still had a wet ride in. My central PA crew had another successful weekend aboard the VQ on Lake O

Fishing continues to be excellent, although the fish seem more spread out, some dead spots, their definitely deeper and the sheeps have arrived in the near shore waters!! Lol, like some rod wrecking sheep!!!
The NW winds definitely stacked up some warmer water inside!
Were adding weights to our cores and bombing wire divers. Monday, we had an average box of 36 and today a tournament grade box of 36. Same spot been fishing 66-76 fow NW of Point lately. Bites not furious but 36 iced in 3 hours lately. With sheeps, smalls and misses added in, mornings are still busy. The PI Bay is officially PEA Soup now at 80 degrees!
