ANNOUNCEMENT: Nordic Soccer Club Appoints New Technical Director 🚨
Nordic Soccer Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Mahat Abdullahi as our new Technical Director, starting with us full time September 1, 2026.
Mahat will work closely alongside our current technical staff and coaches—to build upon the club’s existing foundation, introduce innovative player development strategies, and support our athletes in growing both on and off the field.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Coaching Background: Brings 8 years of dedicated coaching experience, with a specialized focus on middle and high school age groups.
Certifications: Holds Coerver Coaching Youth Diplomas 1 & 2, and is currently pursuing a UEFA C License through the German Football Association (DFB), set for completion this fall.
Leadership Experience: Serves with a strong foundation in team leadership developed over 12 years with the Vermont Air National Guard and the United Way of Northwest Vermont.
With a proven history of leadership, specialized technical training, and a strong commitment to youth development, Mahat’s addition to the team represents a significant step forward for Nordic Soccer Club.

Join us for a day of fun at the Nordic Soccer Club Camp at EJRP! Players will build skills through engaging soccer drills, games, and scrimmages, then cool off with supervised pool time. It’s the perfect mix of athletic development, teamwork, and summer fun all in one action-packed day. This camp is open to all, not just Nordic club members!
Children entering grades K-8 will be led by Cait Fogel, who is the Nordic Director of Operations and SafeSport Heads Up certified.

Big congrats to Tristan Haddox (2013/14B Green N1) on not only representing Nordic Soccer Club but also the State of Vermont overseas in Iceland this past week with Sporting VT at the ReyCup International.

Want to play with the best? Come tryout for our 2013/14 boys Arsenal team! Winners of the NECSL pre-National League as well as the Regional President’s Cup, the Nordic 2013/14 Arsenal team will be the first team from Vermont to join District 4 of the Northeast Division of the N1 National League, the top team-vs-team competition in the US!
