EJRP is a part of the Village of Essex Junction, serving all ~11K residents, with a general fund budget supported by all of the Village of Essex Junction, and governed by the Village Trustees. EJRP Social Media Guidelines
• EJRP encourages comments, questions, and concerns from the public on EJRP websites and social media regarding department initiatives.
• EJRP will make posts and comments that
promote EJRP initiatives, community events that EJRP is a sponsor of, EJRP related individuals, organizations, or businesses, and other information that supports our vision and mission.
• Comments made by others on EJRP run/managed web and/or social media sites will be monitored by EJRP staff.
• When appropriate, EJRP will publicly respond, in a timely manner, to questions, comments and concerns that are publicly posted. Private messages will be answered privately, but information ascertained or insight gained may lead to public postings by EJRP that will not be personally identifiable to the original communicator.
• EJRP does not discriminate against any views. Comments made publicly, whether positive or negative, will be remain public, unless any of the following are true, in which case the comment will be removed:
o Comments reveal personally identifiable information about staff or participants that has not been posted or previously approved by those individuals. This may include e-mail address, home address, phone number, personal relationships, social security number, or other. o Comments are deemed inappropriate by staff due to (which may include any of the following, or additional not listed): personal attacks, disrespectful, abusive, vulgar, offensive, graphic, hateful, threatening, harassing, demeaning, humiliating or hurtful language, information that is false, comments that cannot be verified/are in dispute between individuals and the truth cannot be readily ascertained, and comments or images that promote illegal activity, are not appropriate for people of all ages, or discuss/display sexual content or nudity. o Comments that are not related to EJRP, and/or promote products, services, or events that are not in line with EJRP’s vision and mission will be removed.
• Users may be blocked from future postings if A) they made a post that needed to be removed and the severity of its violations deems a block, or B) a user has made multiple posts that have had to be removed, and/or C) a user has threatened to post inappropriate content and a preemptive block is deemed appropriate by staff.

⚽Soccer Sparks Camp⚽
Give your young athlete a week of skill-building, teamwork, and fun! Campers will develop soccer fundamentals through engaging drills, games, and daily scrimmages in a positive, supportive environment.
🏊 Plus, campers will enjoy lunch (bring your own) and a swim at Maple Street Pool each day from 12–1 PM.
🎁 Every participant receives a Soccer Sparks t-shirt and soccer ball!

GAME ON: LEGO BUILDING, CODING & STOP-MOTION ANIMATION 🧱🎮🎬
A hands-on week of LEGO creativity and coding! Campers will build and program motorized LEGO projects using gears, motors, and Bluetooth coding while teaming up with video game heroes to take on Dr. Destructo 😈. Challenges include racing, obstacle courses, and interactive builds inspired by games like Mario and Sonic.
In the afternoon, campers create their own LEGO stop-motion films—designing stories, building sets, filming scenes, and adding music and effects 🎥✨.
Get ready to move, play, and have a blast all week long with EWSD PE teachers! This action-packed half-day camp is filled with your favorite PE games and nonstop fun—medic, kick the can, sharks and minnows, capture the flag, tag games, and more!
Even better—campers help choose the games each day, so the fun is always in your hands 🙌

Thank you to everyone who joined Essex Junction Recreation & Parks for our 2026 Essex Junction Independence Day Celebration at the Champlain Valley Fairgrounds. After watching the weather all week, we couldn’t have asked for a better evening.
The food was great, Sticks And Stones had the crowd rocking, the atmosphere was fantastic, and the fireworks were a perfect way to cap off the night as we celebrated America’s 250th birthday.
Special thanks to the Champlain Valley Exposition for once again being a fantastic host and partner for this community tradition.
Thank you as well to our vendors, performers, public safety personnel, volunteers, and everyone who helped make the event happen.
Most importantly, thank you to our community for coming out and celebrating with us. Events like this are what make Essex Junction such a special place.
We appreciate everyone spending part of their Fourth of July with EJRP, and we can’t wait to do it again next year!

What an incredible first week of summer camps with EJRP last week! ☀️🎉
Our campers kicked off the summer making new friends, playing games, creating crafts, staying active, and making memories that will last all season long. From exciting adventures in our EJRP Licensed Summer Camps to learning new skills on the courts at Tennis Camp and sharpening their soccer talents at Brazilian United Soccer Camp, there was energy and excitement everywhere you looked!
A huge thank you to our amazing staff, coaches, and camp partners for making the first week such a success. We can't wait to see what the rest of the summer has in store!
