Joey is an accomplished and knowledgable kayak repair guy and boat builder. Does both wood and composites. One of his new endeavors is producing a composite version of Guillemot Kayak's Petrel Play - an awesome play boat. I had a test drive and it's a miracle of modern science. Weighs just 40 lbs but is built like a tank. Super stable but high performance. Long water line but short overall.
Just ordered one myself.

Presented by John Carmody of Sea Cliff Kayakers.
https://seasherpakayak.com/event/midcoast-sea-kayak-rendezvous/
Sea Sherpa was founded by Gerry Polinsky in 2009. After decades of winter mountain adventure (on skis, crampons, snowshoes and rope) he was looking to expand his expedition capacity to allow for 4 seasons. Gerry traded an old pick up truck for a couple of kayaks and it was love at first site.
Gerry has worked his skills and certifications. He is a Registered Maine Sea Kayak Guide, a British Canoe Advanced Sea Leader (5 Star), an American Canoe Association L5 Advanced Open Water Instructor, National Outdoor Leadership School Trained Winter Outdoor Educator and has a SOLO Wilderness First Aid certification.
Gerry loves to instruct in the conditions he loves to play in: active open water. He thinks learning those skills are best when just north of challenging but certainly south of scary. Sea Sherpa is a no boat/body break zone and we try to keep chest pounding to an absolute minimum. Even on group events, instruction is always geared towards the individual paddler’s wants and needs.
