Dear Frostbite Yacht Club Members and Friends,
I’m happy to announce that registration for our 2026 Frostbite Yacht Club fall season is open on our website at www.fbyc.org
As we start the fall season for our 93rd year of racing, we have much to celebrate. For nearly a century, Frostbite Yacht Club has provided competitive sailing, camaraderie, and a welcoming community for generations of sailors. The success of our club has always been built on the dedication of volunteers, members, and supporters who believe in preserving this unique tradition.
Today, we are looking ahead to our next chapter.
Our goal is simple: to ensure that Frostbite Yacht Club remains a thriving and sustainable organization as we approach our 100th year of racing. To help make that possible, we are launching a fundraising campaign with a goal of $10,000 to help maintain our fleet of boats.
Over the years, we have worked hard to keep registration fees affordable and accessible. Despite significant inflation and rising operational costs, we have kept our fees essentially flat for an extended period. While this has benefited our members, it has also limited our ability to build financial reserves for the future.
The reality is we are one major repair or boat/engine replacement away from creating a financial challenge for the club as we project to end the year with $7,500 of cash in the bank. Rather than react to a future problem, we want to take proactive steps now to strengthen our financial foundation.
Your contribution will help us:
-Maintain and improve Fair and Square and our mark boats and engines
-Build a reserve fund for unexpected repairs and capital expenses
-Keep registration fees affordable for sailors of all ages
-Support safe and efficient race operations
-Position Frostbite Yacht Club for a successful centennial celebration and beyond
