Introducing the 2026-27 Atlanta Vipers National Teams!!

Congratulations to the four teams that have earned the National status for the 2026-27 season:

** Atlanta Vipers National 2028 - McBay
** Atlanta Vipers National 2030 - Patterson
** Atlanta Vipers National 2031 - Martinez
** Atlanta Vipers National 2033 - Whitener

Being selected as a National Team is **not a title that is simply handed out. It is earned.**

Each year, coaches who want to pursue National status must apply and make the commitment required to compete on a national level. Teams must meet our established qualifications, demonstrate the ability to represent the Atlanta Vipers at the highest level, and be willing to take on the additional travel, competition, and responsibility that comes with the National designation.

The Vipers Board reviews each application and determines which teams have earned the opportunity.

**National status must be earned again every year.**

Our expectations do not change. Teams must continue to meet the standards, represent the Vipers with pride, and demonstrate the commitment required to compete nationally.

We have a lot to be proud of.

This season didn’t end the way we wanted, but we competed until the very last out. I’m proud of this team for finishing in the Elite Eight of Tier II at Alliance Nationals.

This tournament doesn’t define us. What defines us is the journey.

This season we competed with and beat some of the top teams in the country. We won championships, hit home runs, pitched great games, played strong defense, battled through adversity, grew as players, developed as competitors, built lasting friendships, made memories, and learned what it truly means to be a great teammate.

One of the hardest lessons in travel ball is understanding the long game. Too often, players focus on the moment instead of the process. They compare themselves to others, create expectations that don’t match reality, or believe narratives that fit their own agenda. But comparison will always be the thief of joy.

Our mission is to develop young women who are prepared to compete at the next level and in life. That starts with controlling the controllables, being a good teammate, accountability, and working hard for what you want. There are no shortcuts.

I’m incredibly proud of this group and grateful for every player and family who bought into our culture. Now it’s time for school ball! Go be great, the standard is the standard. 🐍💚
