One week later, Kebinatshipi Collen broke the Diamond League record, running 43.44 in Monaco. He went on to win the Diamond League Final, lowering his Diamond League record, breaking the meet record, and setting a new national record for Botswana of 43.40 💎

Faith Cherotich ran 8:51.74 to claim the women’s 3000m steeplechase title at the Pre Classic in July. She went on to run a meet record of 8:51.61 at the Diamond League Final in Brussels, taking home the steeplechase crown ✨

At the 2023 Diamond League Final in Eugene, Emmanuel Wanyonyi ran a meet record of 1:42.80 in the men’s 800m. The reigning world champ and Olympic champ in the event just won the 2026 Diamond League Final in Brussels, finishing in a meet record of 1:41.80 💎

Chase Jackson threw 20.94m at in 2025 to break the Pre Classic record and take home the title. She went on to throw 20.56m in July to claim the 2026 Prefontaine Classic shot put title.
