Endless Summer BYOP Scramble Endless Summer BYOP Scramble is a Disc golf tournament in Noti, Oregon beginning August 31, 2024 and hosted by Willamette Valley Disc Golf.

Played a decent round today for the first round of the Liquid Sunshine Open. 2 off the lead and still in the hunt.
Went to Camp Serene Disc Golf Course for a cool down round with some friends. Aced hole 7 along the river.
Second and final round tomorrow.
Going to have to shoot well tomorrow and get sneaky.

No strokes were given, in the making of this putt.

Super fun day at Whistlers playing in the Southern Oregon Winter Series event. Perfect disc golf weather, great card mates, and watching great shots, all day long.
Shot above my rating both rounds and my highest rated round, a 949.
In the hunt all day and ended up tied for 4th.

Started the morning watching 30 head of deer nervously avoiding disc golfers warming up. First we saw 3 or 4 then quickly, more tiny heads started popping out of the bush. 2 or 3 at a time came at us, running across the road, and climbing the hillside.
Threw 100 ft past the basket on the 742ft Top of the World shot (pic).
Both were really cool to watch.

Tomorrow is going to be a blast.

(I was given a sneak peek and Amber Freeman absolutely, 100% knocked it out of the park when she designed them). Holy smokes they are so cool.

Sunday is going to be a good day despite the forecasted rain.
This year I've struggled with different points of my game.
I'm working hard to correct the errors and I have a new found confidence.
I leave for Austin in a week (National Championships) and it's time to put it all together and come out swinging.

We all have those bad rounds, get the yips, etc.
You feel bad, you work on it, you get better.
This last weekend was the worst that I've ever felt.
Completely lost it physically and mentally.
Nothing worked, even just getting back to the basics.

I went out to my happy place and grabbed a pair of buddies. Even though they were worn out, we played.
One adjustment brought it all back together which resulted in a major ah ha moment.

The thing about my disc golf family, you can always count on your buddies to break you down, lift you back up and fix what ails you.

I'm feeling super confident going into this weekend, thanks to James Morse and Rob. That's, Willamette Valley Disc Golf for you. Always having each other's backs.
