We knew it was going to rain, but we decided to go camping anyway! We had one long, rainy day, but we made the best of it. One of the nice things about Central Oregon is that even on rainy days, you can still get some beautiful sun breaks. And with a fire pit and a cozy trailer heater, we had everything we needed to stay warm and comfortable.

Because of the rainy weather, we had the entire campground to ourselves, which made for a very quiet and peaceful getaway.

We played lots of cards, and even Oscar wanted in on the action—and it turns out he has a pretty good poker face! 🃏

We also enjoyed some nice walks, and Oscar was the only one brave enough to go swimming in the cold water. 🐾

Jackson was busy with football and wasn’t able to join us on this trip. And just like that, we’re officially back into football and back-to-school season! 🏈📚

Even with the rain, it was a fun little adventure and a great way to close out the summer. ❤️

I was back at one of my favorite places to teach this week as a Teaching Artist for my third year in a row! 🎭✨

At Center Stage Performing Arts Camp with Missoula Children’s Theatre, these young performers had an absolute blast learning new songs and skills, making new friends, auditioning, and rehearsing for TWO big performances of Aladdin! 🧞‍♂️✨

I’m so proud of all their hard work, creativity, courage, and enthusiasm. What an incredible week with such an amazing group of young performers! 🎭💫

When the big kids go to “Enchanted Forest”. You are never too old!
I went in the “Haunted House” for the first time. I had a traumatic experience in high school, this was tame compared to that one.👻
Plus we encouraged Emma to lead the way.
I think we started a new tradition. 🌟🌲🧙‍♀️🪄🦄

We had a busy and exciting week at theater camp! 🎭

Our students worked incredibly hard to put on their musical revue of Lerner & Loewe, and I couldn't be more proud of their growth, dedication, and accomplishments this term.🌟

I also had the pleasure of teaching a tap dance workshop with my friend Wilder. We had so much fun introducing the students to the basics of tap and sharing our love of dance with them. 💃🏻

What a wonderful week filled with learning, creativity, and unforgettable memories!💜

As we head into the final three-week intensive of our Musical Theater Camp, we’re diving into the timeless music of Lerner and Loewe! It’s been a fabulous summer with an incredible group of students who continually inspire me and teach me new ways to approach both teaching and musical theater. Our final performances are Saturday, August 1, at the Shedd in Eugene, with shows at 3 PM and 5:30 PM. See you at the theater. 🎭💃🏻🌟
