For your planning purposes, Ski Tests for spring 26 have been canceled due to low snowpack. That doesn’t mean you still can’t apply for joining Ski Patrol though. We will keep applications open till August 15th. After that we’ll hold interviews and hopefully follow up with Ski Tests early in the winter. Reach out with any questions! Enjoy your summer and pray for snow in 2027!

Have you been thinking about if maybe Ski Patrol is something you’d like to do? Well, now’s the perfect time to apply and sign up for a Ski Test date in April. The Ski Swap takes place on Friday, October 24 from 5-9PM and Saturday, October 25 from 9AM-4PM at Lane County Fairgrounds, Expos 1&2. Entry is $2 on Friday and Free on Saturday.

Tickets for Friday entry will go on sale at http://www.eugeneskiswap.org on Monday, October 20. Tickets can also be purchased at the door. Each ticket is numbered and ticket holders will be admitted based on their ticket number, so purchase your ticket early if you want to be among the first through the door!!

Wanna sell stuff? Gear can be consigned on Thursday, October 23 from 9AM-9PM and Friday, October 24 from 9AM-4PM.

This Ski Swap supports local ski patrols: Willamette Pass Ski Patrol, Santiam Ski Patrol, and Willamette Backcountry Ski Patrol. Come on out and support those who support you!

On warm days like this, it seems like winter is so far away! It’s helpful to know your Willamette Pass Ski Patrol puts in some extra hours in the off season. Back in June some intrepid patrollers took to the slopes of Mt Hood for their annual ‘Nuts and Bolts’ training, sharing the storied summer slopes with ski teams from around the globe while they worked on their patient transport skills. See y’all in a few months! 📸

Now is the time! Wax those skis and snowboards and work on your long, short and medium radius turns to get ready for the Willamette Pass Ski Patrol Ski Tests in early April! While you’re waiting for that wax to cool down, head on over to our website to apply!

Applications are open to join the 25-26 Candidate Class for Willamette Pass Ski Patrol! Go to our website to sign up for our Ski Tests on April 5th or 13th and to learn more about what we do on the mountain and the training involved to wear a red coat.

WPSP Patrollers, Mt Hosts and SPY: we made some buttons to commemorate our friend and fellow patroller, Amy Samson, this season. They can be found on the table in the Patrol Room. Feel free to grab ONE when you’re next up and wear it on your bag, coat, radio harness, etc., if you’d like. Also, it’s not waterproof, so please be mindful of that. Design detail: the “snowflakes” in the scene are actually little white crosses and there is one for every person listed on the roster this year, plus two larger ones for Amy’s children, who both were in our SPY program. ❤️
