Today marks a bitter sweet day for us, this is our last boarder horse leaving.
We have been boarding horses at our Oregon farm for 25 years‼️ Seems hard to believe. So grateful to my parents TedandMarcy Parker for helping to make the barn into something special for both my own horses as well as our boarder horses. I’m very proud of our facility and the quality of care we have given. It’s been a labor of love for me with a lot of help from my parents and my husband Rob. There has been a lot of blood, sweat and tears over the years as well as working nights, weekends and holidays. It’s been a lot of work but it has also been very rewarding and I have met countless people over the years many that I still consider friends.
The last few years has taught us that life is short, we don’t want to spend it working non-stop. In the words of one of my grandpas favorite gals, Dolly Parton “Don’t get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life”. This was not an easy decision stepping away from the boarding business that we have known for so long but we are very much looking forward to this next chapter in our lives. Here’s to more time with friends, family and each other 🥂
