Congratulations to our University of Oregon crew for finishing up the PADI Advanced and Deep Diver specialties last weekend at Mike’s Beach Resort.

It was great seeing everyone get more dialed in and comfortable as the weekend went on. And it doesn’t hurt that everyone got treated to multiple sightings of giant Pacific octopus, wolf eels, and up to 40 feet of visibility, pretty stellar for Spring time in the the PNW.

Well earned. Enjoy the new certifications and put them to good use on the next dives.

Join us next Tuesday April 7 at Dickie Jo's by VRC for our monthly meeting. We have the room from 6-8p and the meeting starts around 630p. Come early for food, drinks and conversation!

Sheridan will have a presentation about their trip to Bonaire last month. She always puts on a good show!

We'll have pics and commentary from the recently returned Camp Casey adventure and update on local diving and the Campbell River trip.

And cool raffle prizes of course!

If you want to see tide pools on the Oregon Coast, this is one of the best times of year to go 🐚🌊

In 2026, some of the lowest daytime tides fall on:
May 17–19
June 15–16
July 14–15

Tide pools can be explored on many low tide days, but these dates usually give you more exposed shoreline and more to see. 🪼✨️

Have you ever been diving from a boat? Rich and Ian are hosting a boat diving experience at Woahink on Saturday April 11. It isn't a class, but a chance to try diving from Rich's zodiac and the excitement of getting back in!

There will also be time for folks to some diving from the shore. We'll be diving from the boat ramp at the big east Woahink entrance Dive for a Cure is held.

Plan on meeting at 10am. No need to have a buddy. We'll figure that out.

We'll provide lunch. If you want to bring some cookies for dessert that'd be great.
