Kudos to the quick-thinking and helpful audience member.

During a performance at a theater in Gansu province, an actor's prop sword accidentally slips from his grip, appearing to fly off stage. ⚔️ A quick-witted audience member instantly throws him a toy shark sword from the front row. What followed was a brilliantly improvised stage moment: The performer rolled with it, turning the mishap into an unexpectedly captivating performance through sheer professionalism and charm. 🤣 #FunChina

Yeah, it's a Sarah Kane play, that's to be expected. What impact do you like your staged violence to have on an audience? How do you know it's working? Obviously it's different for a youth theatre production of Robin Hood than it is for a Titus Andronicus, but there's always room for interpretation, for agendas, and for disparate impact. What does success look like, and what does failure look like?
