Genesis Martial Arts South Genesis Martial Arts South is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu martial arts training facility serving the Southwest Louisiana area.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu promotes the concept that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend against a bigger, stronger assailant by using leverage and proper technique most notably by applying joint-locks and chokes to defeat the opponent. ✨August Youth BJJ Spark Student — Jackson! ✨

Jackson is a great teammate who works well with everyone and is always willing to help others. He also did an awesome job competing in our recent in-house tournament! 🥋

Jackson is heading into 6th grade, where his favorite subject is science. 👨‍🔬He loves playing kickball at recess, and his favorite after-school snack is oatmeal banana cookies. 🍪

If his teacher came to Jiu Jitsu, Jackson would teach them an armbar! His favorite movie is Batman Begins, and his biggest encourager is his dad. Most importantly, Jackson says BJJ has taught him patience.
