Welcome Geneva D. Teaching Candlelight Vinyasa every Tuesday 6-7:15pm

Geneva grew up in Eureka and left to work and explore when she graduated as a Registered Nurse in 2009. Returning to the area only recently she is excited to rediscover the beauty of Humboldt.

Early on as a new ER nurse, while living in San Diego, she realized that to stay mentally and physically healthy in this high paced, stressful environment, yoga was a necessity in her day to day life. To deepen her practice and knowledge she completed her 200hr yoga teacher certification in 2015. She wasn’t intending to actually teach yoga but her desire to share this life enriching practice with other healthcare professionals caused a slow evolution into a second career. Now with almost 20 years of nursing experience and over 10 years as a yoga teacher, Geneva skillfully incorporates her deep knowledge and understanding of the human body into thoughtful, accessible and inclusive breath centric yoga flows. Ever evolving and learning, she has completed an 85hr pre/postnatal yoga teacher certification, 30hr yoga teacher cert from Dice Iida-Kline and is (slowly) working on her 300hr YTT with Jason Crandell. Believing in the importance of holistic self-care, Geneva is also currently enrolled to become a board certified Holistic Health and Wellness Nurse Coach.

Less then a week away from Growths Tea party on August 29th. With lots of fun activities planned from free classes, to local vendors, kava bar upstairs, we are very excited. We will be serving local tea all day, hot and sun brewed cold! A big shout out to Humboldt Herbals Humboldt Herbals and our in house tea maker Jennifer Gibbons for making such incredible tea blends. Mark your calendars August 29th, group classes start at 8am.

Power of Mirroring is a healing communication workshop, led by Michael Jason Sherman, a certified Imago Dialogue life coach and the author of the book, THE ZEN OF SOLO TRAVEL: A JOURNEY FROM ANXIETY TO ENLIGHTENMENT. 

Michael brings 20 years of professional experience teaching individuals, couples, groups and companies this simple yet profound mindful communication practice. 

In its most simple form, mirroring asks us to focus on this: good sending and good receiving lead to good energy.  And good energy comes as feelings relief and sympathy, deep understanding of self and other, awakening to deep truth, listening without judgment, moving beyond patterns of reactivity, settling into who we really are, and stepping into our own voice.

One table we will have set up is our rooted plant table. Come plant your own rooted cutting and start or add to your own indoor or outdoor gardens. Come check us out maybe grab a free cup of kava, have tarot reading, maybe stay for our soundbath?!?!

New alert! We are exciting to be having not only a new class alert but also excited to introduce our newest addition to the team!
Angelina Lasko is a local to Humboldt County and after practicing Original Hot Yoga 26&2 or Bikram Yoga for 19 years she decided to become a certified teacher through the Original Hot Yoga Academy to share her knowledge, skills, and love for hatha yoga. Her goal is to help inspire people to become their best self and find their hidden potential within. She started practicing hot yoga at the age of 19 and in 2018 competed in the USA Yoga Federation. She believes yoga is for everyone and focuses on strength and flexibility.
Check out her class Original Hatha 26&2 every Tuesday’s 6pm-7:30pm
