So our beloved Center for Innovation & Change is only a handful of folks away from 1,000 followers (thanks, Katryna Braun for your awesome recent work! ;)). I've got a CIC swag bag for whoever the 1,000th follower is!

UPDATE: EVSC has canceled evening and after school programs, so tonight's UE Dance Company Family Weekend performance is off (SOB). The kids worked so hard and were so ready, and we were so excited to have our collaborators join us!!! But don't worry, we'll get a back up date soon and keep y'all posted.

Tonight's the night! Tickets are FREE and starting to go fast. Come enjoy kids and the community having fun with UE Dance Company at UE's Family Weekend! 7-8pm in Eykamp, 2nd floor Ridgway. 2024 Line up: A Salsa and Bachata dance lesson from Michael Angelo, the Fake ID country line dance from Footloose by UE students, a Tango led by UE alumnus Joseph Shoup, Hype Hop Dance Fitness with Makenzie Hart, and of course, the kiddos from the UE Dance Company doing a hip hop and pom routine AND a waltz. If there's time, we'll end with a fun Merengue lesson for all. Don't miss this interactive and fun evening seeing what UE has to offer its students and families! Adison Young Angela Paul

Performance opportunity for any dancers! :) The UE Dance Company has room for 1 (maybe 2) more community dance performer to join us for UE's Family Weekend (link in comments if you want to come!). We love multi-cultural celebrations, cheer and dance teams, percussion groups, awesome solos, marching bands, so any and all are welcome! In the 7-8pm hour, on campus, Friday 9/27. Josué Abraham Brown Amanda Antey, feel free to share with any kiddos or dance troupes you might know of (Amanda, would love to welcome the Castle Chargerettes if some of them are available and don't have a game)! Huge thank you to Cathy Renner for inviting UE Dance Company to teach the Charleston, Swing and Fox Trot at the fundraiser for the amazing Ford Tri-Motor plane on display at the Evansville Wartime Museum! We had an absolute blast and met some wonderful folks. The plane was amazing! Built in 1927 and still flying, hundreds of thousands of rivets placed by hand. Pilot said flying it is like flying a semi-truck with a stick shift on ice, and the wings are so big they catch all the thermals, so you just ride those up and down. 😱 Sounds exciting!
