Good luck to all former Inferno players this spring and summer - wherever you are playing! We'll be watching!
Newburgh Inferno
2016 14U Newburgh Junior Baseball Select All-Star Team
The Southern Indiana Hitmen 15u baseball team will have another tryout date in February (date TBA). Our roster is almost complete, but we are looking specifically for players with experience pitching, catching, and/or playing shortstop to join the team. Watch this space and the Hitmen page for more details or contact us through either page.
We are open to any players in Warrick, Vanderburgh, or surrounding counties and have high school affiliated coaches. We are planning on having a local schedule for the majority of our games and a low cost to participate compared to other travel teams.
We are looking for any interested Castle students 15U (14s are welcome also) who would like to play summer baseball in 2017. We have limited spots available and will evaluate players based on skill and positional need. Pitchers are a specific area of need at this time. Our goal is to use this team to continue to enhance these players' skills in coordination with the CHS baseball program.
If you know of a player or parent who would like to find out more, please have them contact us through this page or through any Inferno parent.
Please like and share this post so we can get as much exposure as possible!
Update... game times are now 10 and 12:30 at McCutchanville Saturday. We will hit at 9:00 am. Legends had to drop out, so it's best of three vs M'Town. If needed, Sunday game at 2:00.
Well, we finished up the "official" part of our summer season today in Vincennes at a great facility and field. We played some good baseball the last few weeks. That also means we have to say goodbye to one of the original members of the team. He's played for the Inferno for the past seven(!) summers, and it's been awesome to watch him grow and improve. He's a great young man with an awesome family - thanks as well to Coach Jeremy, Michelle, and the entire Cundiff family for everything you've done for our baseball family along the way.
Thanks for all the hustle, sweat, and dedication you gave to this team, #7. We will miss you, Camden!
Play hard Inferno! Give me 7!

This weekend makes all the practices, the sacrifices the coaches and parents make, and the hard work pay off. The kids don't realize it now, but this game of baseball will affect their lives in so many ways. Teamwork, attitude, dealing with losing (and winning) and doing everything the right way is noticed and appreciated. No, the trophy wasn't as big as we would have liked to come home with, but we earned it all the same. Even better than that were the compliments we gained from everyone at Harrison this week for how we played the game. We are all proud of you, Inferno!

A little scouting of the competition this morning. Keep playing hard, Inferno! Two wins to the trophy!
