Next beginner class coming up soon!

Updates from EFA!

Cool news: Air conditioning is almost complete. Supply air duct is through the wall and return air is next. Hopefully we are up and running early this week.

New epee rack: This morning the new epee rack was installed and now we need to buy more epees to fill it out.

Beginner Class: We are halfway through the second run of our beginner class and we’ve got a great mix of excited students in it. Next beginners class cycle starts on August 18.

The tournament results are in!

We at Evansville Fencing Academy hosted our first tournament today in celebration of our first year as a fencing club and we are pleased to announce the following:

🤺The fun never stops at Evansville Fencing Academy!🤺

📸We just wrapped up our first beginners class and as you can see in the picture below, it was an amazing group of students. We have a few that are not included in the picture, but we’re excited that almost all students will be continuing to fence with us.

This week we start our second beginners class with some fresh new faces joining us on the strip. We want to welcome these new fencers on their journey. See you all Tuesday night!

This Saturday we will host our first tournament - the EFA Orange-Barrel Open. If you know Evansville, you know why we named it that. If you’re coming to Evansville, you’ll find out why we named it that! 😆 🚧🚧🚧

We have 23 epee fencers currently signed up with a max cap of 28. The tournament is also a probable C1 rated event. Look us up on AskFRED if you want to get registered.

We feel very honored that some well-known regional fencers will be competing at EFA this coming weekend and that well-respected referees will also be helping us run a smooth first tournament.

Updates from EFA:

We are wrapping up our first beginners class this week. We had an excellent turnout and it’s been a great group of new fencers. I hope to see as many of them as I can in future classes.

We still have spots available in our next beginners class starting July 7. More information can be found in our Facebook events and on our website.

EFA is hosting our first tournament on July 11 to celebrate our first year as a club. We have 17 fencers signed up so far including our own local fencers and numerous others traveling to fence with us.
