Hat Island Info

Reminder to look at the times when you book your ferry for next weekend. There are time adjustments due to tides.
Saturday, June 12th the first ferry doesn't depart Everett until 12:00pm and leaves Hat at 1:00.
The Sunday ferry departs at the normal 8:00 am time from Everett, but will leave Hat Island at 8:30am.

We have added a run leaving Everett tomorrow, Saturday May 23rd. If you are already booked on the 8:00am or the 4pm and would like to switch, please call the Hat Island office and we will move you.

The Hat Island Fire Department (Snohomish County Fire Protection District 27) is currently seeking a part time Secretary to the Board of Commissioners. Here is a link to the job description and information on how to apply:

Division I is currently without water. The Hat Island Maintenance/Water team will be locating the break and we will send updates as we get more information.

Comcast users! I sent an email yesterday and just received notification from Whidbey Telephone that most of our owners who have comcast did not receive the email. Here's the message I received:
Your message couldn't be delivered. Despite repeated attempts to contact the recipient's email system it didn't respond.
Contact the recipient by some other means (by phone, for example) and ask them to tell their email admin that it appears that their email system isn't accepting connection requests from your email system. Give them the error details shown below. It's likely that the recipient's email admin is the only one who can fix this problem.

NO SPOT FISHING ALLOWED FOR AREA AROUND HAT ISLAND

Marine Areas opening for non-spot shrimp fishing only are:
• Marine Area 8-1 (Saratoga Passage, Deception Pass) and Marine Area 8-2 (Port Susan, Port Gardner, Everett): Will not open for spot shrimp harvest. Open June 1 through Oct. 15 for shrimp species other than spot shrimp. It is unlawful to set or pull shrimp gear in waters greater than 175 feet deep.

SCFPD 27 will be conducting some alarm tests this afternoon, Wednesday May 6th, around 2:00pm. The alarm may go off multiple times. Please do not be 'alarmed' and rest assured your fire department is in control.
