I was so fortunate to study with Aadil at Alive and Shine Center for many years. As I mentioned in my last post, the yoga wall is great for going deeper in many asanas.
A bit of history ...
The Great Yoga Wall® was designed by Cedrik Wolfe in the late 90s after tumbling out of a traditional Iyengar wall rope system. Being an engineer, he brilliantly designed a system that was safe and could withstand hundreds of pound on a single wall attachment.
One of the first Great Yoga Wall® systems was put in Yoga Centers by Aadil Palkhivala (now known as the Alive and Shine Center). Bryan Legere, Cedrik Wolfe and Renée DeTar all studied under Aadil using this unique system.
And this is how we got to our yoga wall, there is no one with a deeper understanding of the use of the wall like Aadil, whether it is for therapeutic reasons or for the alignment in asana, there is so much variety.
