A Little September Update from the Rod & Gun Club!

To all of our wonderful customers, friends, and guests as another season approaches, we are busy behind the scenes making repairs, completing renovations, and giving some needed care to this very special piece of Old Florida.

Because of this, our restaurant will be open on select days throughout September. We encourage you to please call ahead for current hours and reservations before making the trip.

Our cottages remain available for lodging seven days a week!

For cottage reservations, restaurant availability, or questions, please feel free to call or text Taylor at 239-641-0013. A quick text is always welcome and sometimes the easiest way to reach us!

Most of all, we want to say thank you. The Rod & Gun Club wouldn’t be what it is without the generations of customers, families, fishermen, travelers, and locals who have walked through our doors and continue to support us year after year.

We are proud to continue caring for a place that represents a true piece of Old Florida and Everglades City history, while preserving the character and traditions that have made it so special for generations.

We appreciate your patience while we get everything ready, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back for another wonderful season.

Such a pleasure taking care of some of the Everglades City Volleyball crew today! 🏐🩷Arts & crafts, pool time, good food, and lots of fun! We loved having these girls spend the day with us at the Rod & Gun Club!!

Sometimes you just have to roll up your sleeves and do it yourself! 💪🏼

Our goal is to make the exterior of this beautiful old building shine just as much as the history and character waiting inside.

Established in 1864, she has weathered more than 160 years, endured countless storms and hurricanes, and seen generations come and go and yet, she’s still standing strong. We couldn’t be prouder to care for a place with this much history.

There’s a lot of love, hard work, patching, painting and preserving happening around here right now and yes, sometimes that means getting our own hands dirty!

But this is only the beginning…

We have BIG plans for the exterior, and we can’t wait for you to see what we have in store.
