Day 3 in our dancer mindset series. Posting some reminders all month long online and in studio to help our dancers bring the best version of themselves to the studio.

It's day 2 of our series on dancer mindset. For the next month, I'll be sharing tips for dancers and parents. These tips will be posted regularly around the studio as reminder for our students.

I'm starting a new series today to share a bit of wisdom I've learning in my nearly two decades as a studio director. I think sometimes we take for granted that our students understand the "bigger picture" lessons we are trying to teach them. But that's not always reality. Explaining the "why" or being very clear about expectations can often be more effective. So here goes, day 1. Hope you enjoy!

Congratulations to all our mountain area dancers who participated in our age 10+ auditions for the MADC Nutcracker yesterday. What a wonderful turnout. And how exciting to be bringing jazz, tap, aerial and hip hop to this year's show! This performance is going to be our biggest and best yet. The response has been incredible! Yesterday represented everything the Mountain Area Dance Collective is all about: bringing our local dance community together as one to celebrate what we all love to do. It's not about individual dance studios, it's about a shared love of dance. Thank you and for this very special collaboration.
