5/18 was another good day at the races for the Blue Mountain Racing Engines team. Lots of great fans in the stands to watch Alex Lewis and the 5-car take a heat race win and the 10s of Frosty Metcalfe lead 24-3/4 laps of the 1200 Main Event. Lining up the 10s and 30 on the front row for the initial green flag was the most memorable start of 2018. BMRE sends out congratulations to the main event winner Steven Hendrickson, his amazing crew, and all of the 1200 racers. We put on a great show every week!

Alan Kulwicki: When NASCAR Stood Still 04/15/2018

Blue Mountain Racing Engines will proudly sponsor post-race beverages for the 1200 A-Main winner this week if they are willing to perform a Polish Victory Lap in honor of Alan Kulwicki. Here at BMRE, we believe that sometimes the pursuit of speed involves going backward. In fact, it is one of our traditions!

Alan Kulwicki: When NASCAR Stood Still Peter Jellen, the transporter for Alan Kulwicki's team, narrates the NASCAR sendoff of Kulwicki at Bristol after his tragic death.

I'm sure the engine will run and everything, but you know the policy...

Our next contestant has definitely turned a few laps but will hopefully build some power. Well, or at least not blow up on the dyno.

Here at BMRE, we believe that spare parts are the best parts. Why? They save money for post-race activities!

Precious metal. Now for the part where the base gasket makes me wonder whether I should get stitches...

See, here at Blue Mountain Racing Engines, we believe in base gaskets. Well sometimes. Our beliefs are always evolving. Cheers!

Building days are the best days! Here at BMRE, we believe in cold ethanol and hot methanol. Oh, and engines that hopefully don't blow up on the dyno...

This engine came with a carbon case guard, which adds weight. Fortunately all of the bolts for the case covers were replaced with aluminum to offset that.

Here at BMRE, we believe in "the path of worthwhile resistance" and have decided to keep the decorative carbon cover. We did, however, replace all of the aluminum fasteners with class 10.9 pieces for extra insurance against... rubbing.
