The Stride Crew headed to Nashville this weekend for the ADCC Open.

We are so proud of how all of our competitors performed at one of jiu-jitsu’s toughest tournaments. The determination, camaraderie, technical skills, and teamwork they showed on and off the mats is what Stride is built on.

Off the mats the crew had a blast too. Pre-tournament dinner and bowling, then a pizza and pool party after to cap off a great weekend.

Thank you to everyone who competed, traveled, and supported on and off the mats.

Yesterday the Stride Crew headed to Arrowhead for the 3rd Annual Lexi Johnson 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb. 🇺🇸

We climbed the equivalent of 110 stories — the height of the World Trade Center towers — to honor the first responders who ran into the buildings on September 11, 2001.

We are forever grateful for all those first responders and those who continue to put their lives on the line everyday. 🚒🚓🚑

Proceeds from the event went to the SAFE foundation. They deliver $40,000 to families of local fallen first responders within 48 hours, no strings attached.

At Stride Martial Arts and Fitness, we pride ourselves on offering focused, beginner-friendly training in three programs: Youth Jiu-Jitsu, Fitness Kickboxing, and Adult Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

🧒 Youth Jiu-Jitsu helps kids ages 6–14 build confidence, focus, and real self-defense in a fun, safe, family-friendly room. Classes develop coordination, respect, and the kind of composure that shows up at school — not just on the mats.

🥊 Fitness Kickboxing combines a high-energy 45-minute bag workout with real striking. It’s a full-body session that burns fat, builds lean muscle, and teaches punches and kicks you can actually use — a workout people stick with.

🥋 Adult Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu focuses on leverage and technique, so adults can control and submit a larger opponent without relying on size or strength. It’s a challenging workout and a supportive team, built for beginners and experienced grapplers alike.

You may compete as an individual, but you can only improve in Jiu-Jitsu with the help of a team. The friendships and community built on the mats should benefit and boost everyone up far beyond them.
