No "membership" needed at the Fairbanks Fish and Game Hunter Education Indoor Range but we do provide a Range Orientation and Safety Briefing for those new to the range. Visit us during our open public use hours! https://aimcomm.org/web/indoor-range

If you own a gun, chances are you’re spending at least a bit of time at your local shooting range. But have you ever considered making the commitment to a range membership?

While a membership is a financial investment, the benefits can quickly add up. Many ranges offer discounts on fi****ms, ammunition, classes and accessories, along with priority lane access, exclusive events and opportunities to connect with other shooters who share your passion for the shooting sports.

Perhaps the biggest benefit is spending more time on the range. More practice helps build proficiency, confidence and familiarity with your firearm — making every range session more rewarding.

MAINTENANCE CLOSURE - JUN 10-15, 2026
Parking lot work is scheduled this week, starting tomorrow June 10, and we will need to close the parking lot and the range (no walk-in public use hours this week) as the project necessitates no traffic on the lot during phases of the work. We anticipate the parking lot to be open again by Tuesday, June 16 and for walk-in public use hours to resume next week. Hopefully, all goes well and the weather cooperates and the contractor can get in and do a quality job during this time frame.

Congratulations to all of the 2025 participants of the NRA Marksmanship Qualification Program (MQP) administered at the Fairbanks Fish and Game Indoor Shooting Range (Hunter Education Indoor Range). Special acknowledgement to all who achieved Distinguished Expert level during the calendar year and to our 2025 firearm award winners! To learn more, visit: https://aimcomm.org/web/mqp or inquire with a range staff member during Walk-in Public Use Hours at the range.

Thank you to G***K, R***r, Frontier Outfitters / Sentry Hardware / Woolly Rhino, V.F. Grace, the NRA - National Rifle Association of America, and the Alaska Interior Marksmanship Committee for your support of this program at the Fairbanks Fish and Game Indoor Range.

Are you ready for summer???

The last day of our 2025-2026 Regular Season is this Friday, May 8. We hope you are able to stop in this week during walk-in public use hours and get some target practice in! We've posted our 2026 Summer Season (begins Wed, May 13) schedule online at:
https://aimcomm.org/web/indoor-range. We will be closed Sat May 9 through Tue May 12, as we transition to our Summer Season.

What's up with this critter? A few summers ago, this furry visitor was discovered digging into the backfill dirt and chewing into the foam insulation along the foundation of the downrange section of the range. Some fruit and veggies succeeded in luring the adventurous rodent into a live trap and we were able to relocate to a more suitable venue. :-)
