FYSA Soccer: Pick-up games (PUG) for Kindergarten through 6th grade. Mondays and Tuesday nights. 8 nights available to come play for one low price! PreK sessions also available as part of our fall PUG program.

MSU-Midnight Sun Ultimate: Ultimate frisbee for 3rd grade through High School. Monday nights. Midnight Sun Ultimate is generously sponsored by Usibelli Coal Mine

Did you know that lacrosse is currently the fastest growing youth sport in the United States? FLAX is excited to continue providing opportunities for kids in Fairbanks to learn how to play lacrosse for our second year!

𝐂𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐒 $125. This year we are excited to announce that we have a guest coach that will be running our 2 weeks of mini-camps! Choose either the July 11th session or the July 18th session. Camps are Monday through Thursday, 2.5 hours long days.

𝐒𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐎𝐍(𝐒) $80. Although the July season was supposed to start last week, we were unfortunately cancelled due to air quality. The good news in that is that you haven't missed a single day if you haven't signed up yet! FLAX weeknight sessions will be a 4-week, one-night-a-week commitment. Options will exist for July (Tues or Thurs) or August (Mon or Tues). These weekly sessions will involve basic skill development and scrimmages, with local lacrosse-loving adults volunteering their time to coach and share their love of this sport.

We have 2 weeks of lacrosse camps (open to players 3rd grade and up) taking place this month. We have a guest coach arriving this Saturday July 9 and staying to Sunday July 24. We're looking to see if any of our FYSA families might be interested in housing him, for a portion of or even all of these dates. Hello FLAX Families!

Next week is our final week of regular activities for our 6-week fall mini season of Fairbanks Lacrosse. For our weeknight groups, we plan to just scrimmage and play all night for our final sessions together.

We invite you to join us this coming Friday, September 10th, at 5:30pm at the FYSA fields for an open field night and an end-of-summer BBQ for all of our FLAX participants and their families. We’ll have food provided by The BBQ Shack, courtesy of our title sponsor, Alaska 529!

All of our lacrosse sticks, balls and other gear will be available for families to use for the night to enjoy some Friday night FLAX fun and full tummies. We’ll also have available for purchase any of our available remaining FLAX jerseys. We won’t have this limited-edition style available next year from our supplier!

FYSA will be working on raising funds in the very near future to purchase an indoor turf system to utilize for allocated day/time slots at the Carlson Center later this winter. We absolutely plan to organize some winter FLAX options so we can offer multiple ways for families to stay active and engaged over the snowy months ahead. Stay tuned for more details.
