More than just a running race, the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner "Midnight Sun Run" is a uniquely Alaskan event that attracts participants from all over the country. The 10K popular community race has been overseen by the Midnight Sun Run nonprofit organization for over 30 years, with the Fairbanks Daily News Miner as the title sponsor. Proceeds from the race benefit the Fairbanks Resource Agency (fra-alaska.org) who is currently producing the event, and scholarships are awarded to local student athletes.
