A huge thank you to every team, player, umpire, volunteer, and fan who came out and made this event a success. From the first pitch at midnight to the final game ending around 5pm the same day, everyone battled through exhaustion, heat, and the absolutely RELENTLESS mosquitoes. 🦟😂

The Midnight Sun Tournament is always one of the most unique weekends of the summer, and this year was no exception. We appreciate everyone who showed up ready to compete, have fun, and embrace the chaos that comes with playing softball for nearly 17 straight hours under the Alaskan sun.

Thank you for making it another unforgettable weekend. ☀️🥎

Please note that bats must have a valid 2026 sticker to be considered legal for play. Stickers from other associations are accepted. For example, if your bat was tested by Anchorage Sports Association and received a 2026 sticker, you do NOT need to have it retested.

Bat testing will be available during league games tonight until 10pm and then again starting at 11:30pm!

Registration for the Midnight Sun Tournament this weekend is still OPEN. We are looking for a few more teams to play.

A huge thank you to AkSportswear for the tournament jerseys, Friar Tuck's Hoagie House for feeding the umpires an amazing lunch and sending gift cards, Salty's On 2nd for the gift cards, Christy Dominique, Rob Monteith and Dylan Klerlein for making the first Ashlee Spann Memorial Tournament a successful event! We couldn’t have had better weather for friends & family to gather in Ashlee’s happy place to honor her!

This tourney is UNLIMITED PICK-UPS which means: You can mix players from multiple teams - just make sure players are registered to play coed. You play up to the highest classified player on your team.

The pool play schedule for this weekend’s Ashlee Spann Memorial tournament is attached! 🥎🩷🪽

Tournament rules and the bracket will be posted on the website later tonight.

ALL bats must be tested before they can be used in tournament play. Bat testing will be available tonight, Thursday night, and Friday night. As well as, Saturday morning from 9:00-9:30am!

As we come together to compete, we will also be honoring and remembering Ashlee, whose impact on our softball community will never be forgotten. We look forward to celebrating her life, sharing memories, and recognizing the lasting mark she left on so many players, teammates, friends, and family members.
